I’ll be honest, when I first pulled up to this three-star property on Kemmons Drive, I wasn’t expecting much beyond a basic overnight stay. But you know what? Sometimes these mid-range hotels surprise you in the best ways.

Location & Getting Around

Here’s the thing about staying near Louisville‘s airport — you’re actually pretty well positioned for exploring the city without dealing with downtown Louisville traffic and parking headaches. The Expo Center is literally right there, which is obviously perfect if you’re in town for an event or trade show. What I really appreciated was the free private parking — and I mean actually free, not one of those “complimentary for the first hour” situations you sometimes get. The hotel shuttle runs to the airport regularly, though honestly, it’s close enough that you could probably walk it if you weren’t dragging luggage.

The Room Experience

My room was clean and functional — exactly what you want when you’re traveling for business or need a reliable place to crash. The beds are comfortable enough (I’m picky about mattresses), and there’s decent workspace if you need to get some work done. The Wi-Fi actually works well, which isn’t always a given at airport hotels.
